Daniel Bernstein is the founder and CEO of Teachally, the AI-powered K–12 curriculum and instruction platform acquired by McGraw Hill in August 2026.

Over six years, he grew Teachally from a classroom engagement tool called EZ Stickerbook into a platform that generates standards-aligned lessons, assessments, and enrichment activities across all fifty states' standards and built on the conviction that AI should serve the teacher, never the other way around.

He was previously the founder and CEO of Sandlot Games, the casual-games studio behind titles played by millions.

Born in the Soviet Union, he lives with his wife and three children in Bothell, Washington.

Rushil Makkar is the co-founder and CTO of Teachally, the AI-powered K–12 curriculum and instruction platform acquired by McGraw Hill in August 2026. He spent six years building its technology, from EZ Stickerbook through a system that adapts curriculum standards across all fifty states into lesson plans, assessments, and enrichments that hold up in a real classroom.

Volunteering to teach science at orphanages in Jaipur, he saw the constraint up close: no teacher ever chose one-size-fits-all; it was the only thing one person with a roomful of students and no time could physically do.

He believes a teacher should be able to meet every student where they are, and that the hours this frees belong to teaching, not to preparing for it.

Born in India, Rushil lives with his partner in Melbourne, Australia.
